Today — It is All about Magpies — Urbanyogi
This morning just like any other day, I walked into the balcony to get some morning sunlight and as I was enjoying the warmth, suddenly I heard a fine, fluty song of Bird. And, then I realized that it not one but two Birds — Magpies. It all happened so quickly, one of the Magpie walked on the railing of the balcony while constantly chatting. I simply stood there amazed and trying to figure out what is happening. Then, in an instant both the Birds flew away. Huhh..I have been living in this place for last 4 years and never saw them before. Somehow, I suddenly felt happy and had a smile on my face. Only, if I knew the language of the Birds, I could have understood what he was trying to tell me.
Anyway, this made think a bit these interesting birds. Also due to the fact that I was an avid Bird watcher in my previous life, I found some interesting details the internet and also some of my own experiences.
Magpies are birds known for their bold personality and intelligence. They are notorious for swooping in on the innocent Cyclists who happened to enter their territory especially during the nesting season. I believe that there is something called Magpie Karma. Makes one laugh but it is one of those shocking things to happen when you are walking or cycling. I had a colleague of mine who was literally stalked by Magpies wherever he went. While going for a morning run, cycling and even when he was driving in a Car — waiting near traffic light, a Magpie perched on this Bonnet and shouting at him. Things got worse when a Magpie would come every now and then at the workplace. This poor guy used to sit next to wall and glass. And do you know how it all stopped? One day he told me about this issue that he is having and thinking of requesting his seating to be moved to a different place. I told him to inform me, when it happens again. He did and I went to his desk and tried to take a Video of the Magpie with my Mobile. The Bird me and the mobile, flew away and never returned. After that he had been absolved of Magpie Karma and was never troubled again by them. Anyway, I never had any bad experience with them.

So, what does it mean when a magpie visits you?
Magpie visiting you is an honor indeed. Magpie loves to converse and share his wisdom with worthy others. He is asking you to sit with him and listen to his song. The Magpie song will relax and heal you. Apparently, I read that a Magpie will only appear when right and appropriate, and cannot be forced to visit you, commune with you, or share messages with you. And, since time immemorial, it is believed that a magpie in a pair (two Magpies) bring joy or are positive. In China, seeing a magpie signifies you will have good luck and happiness, while in some regions, it is considered a sacred bird. Alright, that all about Magpies today and I need to do some work.
